It`s not even 8:00 a.m. and I already have a run in my hose

This is something useful I learned last night. Just because it's been raining for 40 days and 40 nights does not mean that the reason your front door won't close is that the wood has swollen. It might just be that one of the screws holding the latch receptor on the door frame has worked its way just a wee bit loose. If this is the case, it doesn't matter how hard or how many times you slam the door, it's still not going to close. It also means that using the Ryobi belt sander that your boyfriend gave you for your birthday to sand off about 1/8" of the door is not going to make the door close, either.

Nope. The only way to get that door closed -- after 15 minutes of sanding and slamming -- is to tighten that loose screw.
