Apologies to all of you who speak French for real and are not fakers like moi. I am not a short, little deaf person as I stated in the title of my previous post. I am, instead, someone who is indeed truly occasionally deaf in my left ear, but who needs to be able to say in French that I am hard of hearing to get the French speakers to slow down.
The proper way of saying that I am hard of hearing is, “Je suis malentendue.” Or something like that.
